The purpose of this synopsis is to notify the public of the intent of DOE, Idaho Operations Office to proceed on a single source basis in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2 and Subpart 13.106-1(b) for the simplified acquisition upgrade of the National Security Agency (NSA) approved Type-1 General Dynamic (GD) Sectera Desktop vIPer Phone. This notice is not a request for quotations. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) maintains Classified Networks throughout the country. The entire infrastructure is secured utilizing National Security Agency (NSA) Approved Type-1 devices. DOE-ID is expanding the communications reach back abilities for secure desktop phone processing and have selected General Dynamic’s Sectera Desktop vIPer phone which supports VOIP and analog connectivity.
