Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) (Expressions of Interest and Request for Information)
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science is conducting pre-solicitation market research through an Expressions of Interest/Request for Information for a contractor to manage the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). A new contract is expected to be awarded in the last quarter of fiscal year 2027 and to include a 60-day transition period. ORISE supports DOE scientific, research, and health initiatives, including STEM workforce development, peer and merit reviews, IRB and human subjects activities, worker health outcome information, radiation emergency response through REACT/S, and independent environmental cleanup assessment. The notice seeks expressions of interest and input on perceived barriers to competition, risks, mitigation suggestions, and appropriate RFP terms, with only a draft Statement of Work currently available. Interested parties may respond to any or all items in up to five pages at 12-point font, may request inclusion on a public interested-parties list, and should monitor the DOE competition website for future updates.
