8(a) Set-Aside (FAR 19.8)

The U.S. Department of Energy requires contractor medical services to support the reliability program for personnel handling nuclear materials, including health evaluations and continuous monitoring. The requirement is set aside exclusively for eligible 8(a) small businesses. A solicitation is anticipated to be issued in December 2025, with an expected award date around April 2026. The anticipated contract type is a Hybrid Firm Fixed Price/Time-and-Materials arrangement. The applicable small business size standard for this work is $20.5 million.
