Lawrence Livermore National Security (LLNS), LLC is seeking sources for the fabrication of High-Power Laser Diodes. The successful Subcontractor shall design, engineer, fabricate, test and deliver production quantities to LLNL. Award is estimated at roughly $10M to $50M for a multi-year program. LLNS neither implies nor guarantees a specific quantity or level of usage. Contact the primary point of contact. The successful Subcontractor must have the following capabilities: ITAR registration Technology to produce EDGE EMITTING laser diode bars of 1 cm width, operating in the wavelength range 800-900 nm Technology to package edge emitting laser diodes in a stack form factor with many 10’s of bars per stack Technology to attach micro-optics to the diode stacks for beam shaping Ability to produce multiple megawatts/year of such diode components (diode operating in pulsed mode)
