Please see attachment entitled, "Responses to Questions to RFP 437938" for more information. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC (BSA), under a Prime Contract for the operation of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), herewith is soliciting proposals to furnish an Ambient Pressure-Hard X-Ray Photoelectron Spectometer (AP-HAXPES). This procurement is for the Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The AP-HAXPES instrument, hereafter referred to as "the Equipment," shall be designed to study solid samples under conditions including ultra-high vacuum, gas pressures at least 10 mbar, and liquid environments. Three photon energies less than 6 ke V should be included to allow a range of sample depths to be probed. This new system will enable the determination of chemical and electronic properties of various materials under different environments that mimic application conditions, which is of importance to the characterization of nanomaterials under operating conditions. BSA invites you to participate in accordance with the RFP letter and all supporting enclosures. This requirement has been posted on the SAM.gov website under Request for Proposal (RFP) 437938 - Ambient Pressure-Hard X-Ray Photoelectron Spectometer (AP-HAXPES). Background: BNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory multidisciplinary research facility, located on Long Island, New York. BNL intends to compete the subject requirement, to be utilized within the United States. This requirement will provide for full and open competition. Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting their quotes. BNL intends to issue solicitation RFP-437938 in support of this requirement. The anticipated award contract type is a Firm Fixed Price contract. At this time, BNL anticipates award date to be on or around March 11, 2024. Delivery Date: BNL requires site acceptance and commissioning report no later than 68 weeks after award of contract.
