This request seeks a Civil Subcontractor to plan and conduct soil boring activities for the future Central Utility Building (CUB) expansion in the Booster Pond. The supplemental ground investigation will consist of dewatering the pond and of at least 2 exploration locations to depths of approximately 30 to 80 feet that include strength and consolidation testing. Both borings will be advanced within the footprint of an existing manmade pond. The subsurface investigation is required for the new construction/addition to the CUB at the Fermilab site. The project is presently in the preliminary design phase. It is anticipated that the project will consist of adding onto the current CUB.
