Argonne National Laboratory is seeking (2) High-Energy High-Resolution High-Throughput Germanium Detectors for Energy Dispersive X-ray Diffraction at the APS. Please review the attached Statement of Work and Instructions for Offerors for solicitation requirements. Critical Requirements Sensor material: High-purity germanium Sensor thickness: 10mm Active area: 200 mm2 CMOS/ASIC preamp (e.g., XGLab Cube) with pulsed feedback and cooled input stage Energy resolution: FWHM ? 275 eV at 5.9 keV with input count rate of 1 Mcps FWHM ? 140 eV at 5.9 keV at low count rates FWHM ? 375 eV at 60 keV at low count rates Energy range: 2 – 200 keV Entrance Window: Be (thickness = 0.3 mm) Operated in all orientation (e.g., vertical or horizontal) Electrically refrigerated cryostat with internal fans Endcap diameter <= 40 mm Deliverables High-resolution, high-throughput germanium detector with electrically refrigerated cryostat >3-meter cable set (1 power supply - 2 signal - 1 HV). Cryocooler power supply and interface cable.
