Argonne National Laboratory is seeking to award a one year duration with two (2) one year extensions, Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA) to a small (as defined by NAICS Code 541310) mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering firm to provide design services and construction administration support to Argonne’s Infrastructure Program. The Infrastructure Program is tasked with managing construction projects that usually have total project costs under $10M. Typical work under this contract will be to provide pre-schematic, schematic, design development and final design support for various facilities engineering-related projects across the site to include mainly: chilled water systems piping and equipment; steam production and distribution, HVAC equipment and systems; high, medium and low voltage electrical; civil engineering as it relates to sewerage and potable water distribution. The selected company's construction manager and project engineer identified shall be within proximity of ANL to support the requirement of being on-site within a 2-hour timeframe if requested. Companies given the strongest consideration will have a history of providing MEP design services in an ID/IQ framework to institutional customers and show they are capable of consistently providing high quality, design documents while balancing sometimes substantial schedule and budget constraints. Specific Assignments under the contract will be issued with the understanding that MEP design support work will begin immediately to meet Argonne’s needs.
