The Statement of Work (SOW) specifies the design, manufacture, inspection, test, and delivery of a detector motion system for the ISN Ptychography Instrument. The detector is not part of this scope of work, but acquisition and integration of all electric connectors and connecting cables for the unit is required. The main components of the detector motion system (Figure 3) are the base, an X-, Y-, and Z-stage assembly, and the detector arm. All motion is controlled using stepper motors with encoders. Cables and hoses from the equipment are connected through a cable chain to junction boxes mounted on the base. The base is comprised of an optical table or weldment. Additional requirements are specified in Section 2.
