Argonne National Laboratory is a U.S. Department of Energy multidisciplinary science and engineering research center, where talented researchers work together to answer the biggest questions facing humanity. UChicago Argonne, LLC. operates Argonne National Laboratory, for the U.S. Department of Energy under a Prime Contract. Under Argonne National Laboratory’s (Argonne or the Laboratory) Impact Program, Argonne provides an Argonne-branded award plaque to employees who are nominated and successfully meet the criteria of the program. The plaques include program logo, Argonne logo, employee first and last name, program criteria achieved, project/effort name, month and year received and the Laboratory Director’s signature. Argonne’s Creative Services Team will provide input into the design of the plaques. The plaques must be made from environmentally conscious, sustainable materials and packaged individually in a recyclable gift box. Argonne estimates that 1,500-2,000 plaques will be requested in 2023. Prior year counts have been 1,020 in 2020 and 1,653 in 2021. Numbers for 2022 are not finalized. Organization should have the facilities, personnel, equipment and supplies necessary to provide award plaques as defined herein. The organization should provide information regarding previous experience providing similar quantity and quality plaques to other companies. The planned contractual document will be a blanket purchase agreement with an estimated ceiling $ amount and fixed prices for required plaques. All plaques would be ordered by designated Call Managers by email with all appropriate information provided. The estimated period of performance would be one year with two one-year option periods. Plaques ordered will be sent to the Laboratory’s Lemont, IL address or to a specific employee address provided by the Argonne Call Manager. Responses should include a detailed description that addresses the following topics: Description of company and its capabilities, personnel, quality program, small business size, www.SAM.gov registration status. Order reporting requirements Information needed for orders and the frequency preferred Capabilities or limitations to include package inserts Photos of gift boxes provided in previous contracts. Available shipping methods Warranty information Design services offered (if any) Environmentally conscious, sustainable, and recyclable materials available. Available enamels/Ink colors Environmentally conscious and recyclable backing options (Metals/Alloys/Bamboo/Recycled, etc.) Environmentally conscious and recyclable plate options (Metals/Alloys/Bamboo/Recycled, etc.)
