As part of the APS Upgrade project, 35 Insertion Device Vacuum Chambers will provide a high vacuum pathway for the beam through the undulators. The IDVC must be securely supported and accurately positioned to maintain performance. The IDVC Support Brackets are bolted to the ends of the DLM-A and DLM-B plinths, which will have significant position variability due to their size and manufacturing processes. The Positioning Stages between the Support Brackets and the IDVC must provide position adjustment in six degrees of motion with adequate range to compensate for variability in the plinths and the IDVC itself.
