Overview Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS), under contract to the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Field Office (NNSA/NFO), is seeking information about borehole ground penetrating radar (GPR) data acquisition and processing systems. The desired system shall be capable of acquiring and processing Zero Offset Profiles (ZOP), Quick Tomographic and full tomographic borehole surveys. The system will be used to detect subsurface voids and other uses as needed. Technology Requirements Borehole GPR Data Acquisition and Processing systems capable of operating in boreholes. Please describe the features listed below. Limit response for each descriptor to 250 words or less and write N/A if not applicable to the system. Borehole GPR Data Acquisition System System description Directionality of source and or receiver, if any Acquisition parameters available (sample rate, minimum vertical spacing, any other configurable options, etc.) Performance as a function of soil dielectric properties Dimension of boreholes for successful data acquisition Option for reflection (single borehole deployment) Previous testing and results in identifying voids Dimensions of the system (size, weight, etc.) Frequency and power output options Data storage capacity Number of personnel required to transport and operate the system Training requirements to acquire data System safety/durability/environmental ratings (e.g., MIL-STD, IP67; IP68, temperature ranges) System maintenance requirements during a five-year lifecycle Preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance warranties Borehole GPR Data Processing System Zero Offset Profile (ZOP) Processing Flow Quick Tomographic Processing Flow Full Tomographic Processing Flow Reflection Processing Flow Change detection capabilities Inversion capabilities Data Analysis tools (spectral analysis, cross-correlation, etc.) Output format for data export (raw or processed, .csv, .rtf, etc.) Training and skillsets requirements to process data Future software updates (download methodology, etc.) Budgetary cost estimate for purchasing and for renting the system. Key Considerations Acquire and process borehole GPR data to detect voids. Process the ZOP, Quick and Full Tomographic data, up to and including inversion as needed. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to provide the above-listed GPR are invited to submit a response to this Request for Information (RFI) Notice by September 25, 2020. Interested Parties should address each component of the Data Acquisition System and Data Process System in sufficient detail to clearly demonstrate the ability to provide a GPR as described above. In addition, a budgetary cost estimate for the described system is beneficial for future programmatic planning.
