After reviewing other reporting tools, Cognos was chosen for its robust reporting capabilities. The Department requires a means to manage its Cognos platform. MotioCI provides Cognos version control, automated deployments, and testing. It will allow us to get control over the manual processes, upgrades, and development methods. MotioCI provides the capability to: recover deleted Cognos reports in seconds, perform upgrades faster and easier, automate testing, streamline deployments, and more easily comply with audit requirements. These have been pain points with the current method of managing the Cognos platform. Cognos is used across the Department by all program offices to meet reporting needs in EDCAPS. By purchasing MotioCI, we will reduce the burden of maintaining it and improve the reporting experience and accuracy for the end user.
