This sole source extension of the Application and Eligibility Determination System (AEDS), contract No. 91003119C007, is to continue to provide required critical mission services to the Department of Education, Federal Student Aid, for the 2022/2023 Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA) Cycle without interruption. The FAFSA is used by current and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. Service disruption could potentially cause concerns that colleges may deny admission, waitlist applicants, or offer less financial aid as a result of such interpretations. Due to the cancellation of an anticipated solicitation for the work by a prospective other offeror for the 22/23 FAFSA cycle, it is prudent that the incumbent begin and continue support on the 22/23 FAFSA Cycle development, operation and maintenance. The Award for the 2022/2023 FAFSA Development Cycle extension was made to General Dynamics One Source located at 3150 Fairview Park Dr , STE 100, Falls Church, VA 22042, on September 28, 2020. This extension also added an Option Period 3 to this contract. Contract options periods and pricing have been updated and incorporated into the contract to account for the development cycle extension. The Options period of performances are as follows: Base Period: September 30, 2019 – September 29, 2020 Option Period 1: September 30, 2020 – September 29, 2021 Option Period 2: September 30, 2021 – September 29, 2022 Option Period 3: September 30, 2022 – September 29, 2023 6-Month Option Period: September 30, 2023 – March 31, 2024 Option Period 1 was exercised on September 28, 2020. The total contract period of performance is from September 30, 2019 through March 31, 2024.
