The Government intends to select one Contractor from the subject solicitation. This solicitation is 100% Small Business set-aside. NAICS Code: 334220 – Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing. Description/Salient Features: Capability of providing many users with access to the network by sharing multiple lines or frequencies via P25 Trunking. Capability of changing a radio’s encryption keys over the air. Capability of sending and receiving programed information, such as frequency loads, radio-to-radio from portable, mobile or base stations. Capability of automatically selecting the best site to operate from in a wide-area system by selecting the channel with the best signal. High Power 110 Watt radio frequency (RF) output. Capability to eliminate any black out frequencies on the net caused by prolonged period of fading or faded radio communications from ionospheric changes. Capability to customize scanning by channel, priority channel, or scan by groups, one group at time. Compatible with the P25 Military Rapid Deployment Portable Repeater system. Must be compatible with existing Repeater System. The P25 Military Rapid Deployment Portable Repeater System is designed to extend range and to facilitate interoperability with other radios platforms used in the Military. The requirement is for emergency communication equipment, radios and associated products for fourteen different locations throughout the State of Maine. This is a Request for Information (RFI) to be used for market research purposes only. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ). This notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and it does not constitute a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. Responses to this RFI are not considered offers or proposals and the Government will not award a contract based on this RFI. The Government is not soliciting for proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI or any costs incurred in responding to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested parties' expense.
