NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A FIRM FIXED PRICE SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT- The Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED) of AvMC intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Oxford Instruments of America, Cage Code 0AEP8, 300 Baker Ave, Suite 150 Concord, MA 01742 for the purchase of the UltimMax 100mm Large Area Analytical Silicon Drift Detector System whichis the only SDD system which meets all requirements due to several key features that are required for this purchase under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334516 and the Small Business size standard is $1,000 based on the U.S. Small Business Administration, Table of Small Business Size Standards. This sole source requirement meets the conditions of FAR 6.302-1; Only One Responsible Source Has Been Identified As Reasonably Available To Provide The Supplies That Will Satisfy The Agency Requirements. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
