The Kansas City District requires emergency dredging of the navigation channel on the Missouri River in order to maintain the authorized depths within the channel. The dredging operation must be capable of dredging a minimum of 500 tons per hour. All channel references and features are those shown in the Corps of Engineers Missouri River navigation charts.This emergency dredging operation shall occur within the navigable channel in an area identified by the Contracting Officer between river miles 132.0 and 134.0. An after the fact Single Source Determination, FAR 13, was approved by the District Contracting Chief, and the FAR 13 Determination was appoved by the contracting officer.
