The contractor will provide a Senior Health Physicist for approximately 19 hours a month and is based on two-eight hour day on-site and up to three hours for on-line meetings or phone/email communications during the month. Additional hours may be needed to support projects or work that would require a Senior Health Physicist’s knowledge and expertise. The Health Physics Support Services will be used to provide CBC with a contractor Senior Health Physicist to assist and consult the CBC Radiation Safety Officer/Laser Safety Officer with surveys, inspections, audits, inventory control, waste handling, decommissioning, dosimetry program, shipping and receiving, accidents or incidents, license renewals, training, sample analysis and x-ray producing devices. The Senior Health Physicist will be required to analyze/identify unknown radiological waste, consult on radiological research projects and consult on indoor and outdoor class 4 laser research projects.
