The Health Readiness Contracting Office - East, intends to issue an award solely to Cepheid, 904 East Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089-1189. The procurement is for Maintenance on Government-owned Cepheid GenXpert Molecular Analyzers. Cepheid is the sole manufacturer of the GenXpert systems and is the only authorized provider of the required maintenance. The NAICS code of this procurement is 811210 and the size standard is $34 million. The TSMP system in place is only serviced by Rees Scientific Technicians. There are no resellers. Th Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-l{b)(l)(i), Only One Source Reasonably Available. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please see the attached Sole Source Determination. Responses are due no later than 11 July 2025 at 03:00 PM EST. Interested organizations may submit information for consideration of their capabilities and qualifications for future acquisitions to the contract specialist, Justin C Balster electronically via email to justin.balster2.civ@health.mil. The government intends to award a contract on or around 29 July 2025.
