This is a non-personal services contract to provide Radiation Survey Service Certification and Testing on radiation producing modalities in order to maintain accreditation for the equipment listed in the performance work statement of this requirement. Services include conducting compliance inspections (also called “health physics surveys”) of various Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) diagnostic x-ray systems. These periodic inspections are required to meet FDA requirements, Army regulations (MEDCOM 40-42, TB MED 521), and Joint Commission in order to ensure diagnostic x-ray systems meet technical requirements so that they provide adequate clinical images and reduce radiation exposure to patients and staff to defined or recommended limits.
