The Medical Readiness Contracting Office (MRCO) – East, intends to issue an award solely to Cepheid US, 904 Caribbean Dr, Sunnyvale CA 94089. The procurement is for annual support and maintenance services on two GeneXpert Laboratory Analyzers. The NAICS code of this procurement is 811210 and the size standard is $34 million. This procurement is to support the Guthrie Ambulatory Health Clinic (GAHC), Fort Drum, NY. The GeneXpert Laboratory Analyzers is produced and supplied solely by Cepheid US. There are no resellers. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of simplified procedures for certain commercial items. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please see the attached Sole Source Determination. Responses are due no later than 17 June 2024 at 10:00 AM EST . Interested organizations may submit information for consideration of their capabilities and qualifications for future acquisitions to the contract specialist, Ronald Govans electronically via email to Ronald.d.govans2.civ@health.mil. The government intends to award a contract on or around 1 July 2024.
