Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) has a sole source requirement for The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education to provide services to support the Graduate Medical Education Program (ACGME) Residency Programs and Application Fees for a 12-month period. This requirement is considered sole-sourced as it is the only program that certifies Residents. The ACGME is the single accreditor for GME in the U.S, and there is no competitor currently that evaluates and provides accreditation to physician residency and fellowship programs.
