Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC has a requirement to replace the Ultrasonic washer in the Sterile Processing Department. This washer will be a direct replacement of the washer that has is currently in use and that has been installed during the initial construction of the facility. The current washer has met its life expectancy and has numerous maintenance problems. If a new washer is not purchased the Sterile Processing Department will not be able to process surgical instruments which would cause lower production time and possible increased bioburden incidents, causing delays in the operating room affecting patient care. Getinge products are currently installed in the facility no additional plumbing or wiring will be required and Womack Medical Maintenance Technicians are trained on the repair of Getting equipment.
