The government intends to issue a sole-source contract for the purchase of one Golan 45 ammunition storage unit, brand name MISTRAL INC. The unit must meet or exceed requirements including storage capacity for up to 100 pounds of TNT, an IDS door, high-security hasp, internal lighting, and certification by DDESB. It must also provide total mitigation of shock waves, blast overpressure, and fragmentation, with a safety distance allowing containment within 6 feet of inhabited buildings. The sole-source action is justified because only one seller offers this item and no other product meets the requirement, as confirmed by a sources sought notice that received no responses.
