The U.S. Army is conducting market research for Equiestrian Centers within 50 miles of Arlington, VA/Fort Myer Old Guard Stables. Applicable Equestrian Centers should be able to provide all encompassing horse services in support of The Old Guard’s 40+ count horse herd to include but not limited to boarding, feeding, transportation, veterinary care, pasture turn-out (minimum of 1 acre per horse), brushing/washing, stable care, farrier services, rehabilitation services, and horse training as described in Clinton Anderson’s The Method, to neck rein, and to drive in accordance with Postillion riding styles. The horses will also need to be trained to move a caisson wagon with a casket. Any interested vendors shall provide a capabilities statement to LTC Matthew Wernert, matthew.e.wernert.mil@army.mil
