The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Belvoir (MICC), on behalf of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) seeks capability for turf and grounds maintenance of approximately 667 acres, to include: mowing and trimming, edging; trash, debris and floral pickup and resetting; leaf removal; preparation of special ceremony sites; filling and grading; top-dressing; sodding; snow and ice removal; post-burial care to casketed gravesites; post-burial care to cremated remains; liquid pesticide applications; liquid pesticide spot treatments; granular pesticide applications, granular fertilizer applications, PH level adjustment/soil amendment applications; core aeration; aerovation; dethatching; turf renovation; soil structure repair; hydro-seeding; operating, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems; spot watering; slit seeding; over seeding; and collecting and submitting soil samples. The DRAFT Work Statement included in this sources sought is an example of the work that would be required and does not require the contractor to submit anything other than a capabilities statement for their company under the NAICS code provided. The Government is seeking responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis from all interested businesses capable of providing similar supplies. Small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business, etc.) are highly encouraged to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirements at fair market prices. Packages shall be submitted by 5:00PM EST, Thursday, 4 April 2019. Only small businesses are to submit capability packages. Interested small business concerns in NAICS code 561730 "Landscaping Services" with a size standard of $7.5M are encouraged to submit their capability packages. The capability packages for this sources sought are not a proposals, but rather statements regarding the company's existing experience in relation to the areas specified above. Capability packages shall not exceed five (5) pages and shall be submitted via e-mail to Heather Nikiforakis, at heather.m.nikiforakis.civ@mail.mil with a courtesy copy (cc) to Sharon Lightfoot, at sharon.c.lightfoot.civ@mail.mil at no cost to or obligation to the Government.
