This posted announcement is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis of a proposed contract action in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.207. The Mission Installation Contracting Command - Fort Leavenworth intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of a Sustainment, Restoration, & Modernization (SRM) project for the re-model of two (2) bathrooms and a single room renovation Bldg #77 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. General Scope: This work may include but is not limited to the following: repair or replacement of mechanical, electrical or fire protection and detection systems; repairs related to building renovation or demolition; interior remodeling work including carpentry, painting, floor and wall covering; repair or replacement of doors or miscellaneous structural elements. Work shall occur in different types of facilities including administrative and other support areas. This acquisition will require a general contractor with experience and expertise capable of managing numerous task orders at the same time, which will require construction scheduling, cost estimating, quality control, and coordination of subcontractors in a wide variety of construction trades. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The small business size standard is $39.5 million average annual revenue for the previous five years. This requirement will be a Total Small Business set-aside procured utilizing Sealed Bidding Procedures specified in FAR Part 14. The government anticipates an award will be made to a responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation for bids; will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price related factors included in the invitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available Wednesday August 12th, 2021. The site visit is to be held 1:30pm CST, Thursday August 12th, 2021 at MICC Fort Leavenworth, 535 Kearny Ave Bldg #338, Conference RM #004. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and should register with the Contracting Officer, Mr. Robert M. Parvin via e-mail at robert.m.parvin.civ@mail.mil not later than Friday 6 August 2pm CST. The dates contained within the attached Draft Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Solicitation closing date are estimates only and subject to change.
