The United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) builds partner capacity to execute United Nations (UN) Peace Keeping Operations (PKO) mission’s world-wide, to include support to Peace Operations Training Centers (POTCs) and deployment sustainment activities. Argentina is a Partner Nation (PN) in USSOUTHCOM’s Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI), a Department of State program that addresses major gaps in international peace operations conducted by the UN. The program strives to build and maintain standardized capability and capacity for PNs to effectively and efficiently execute UN peace operations. Argentina has requested support from the United States Government (USG) to obtain One (1) new Compact Track Loader. This equipment will be deployed eventually along with Argentina’s engineers in order to set-up and maintain forward operating locations for a yet to be determined PKO mission. This will show USG support for Argentina’s UN Peace Keeping mission commitment and will build the capacity of a partner to execute its mission. Please see Specifications for more information.
