The Conformal Wearable Battery (CWB) is a centralized energy source that can power the Nett Warrior (NW) suite of electronic devices, the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS), and the Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW), while also providing recharging capability to the batteries in these devices. The CWB has the ability to: (1) increase the mission time without having to stop for battery resupply; and (2) eliminate the need to swap out the batteries in each device. The “Conformal” in the title refers to the requirement for the battery to be semi-flexible in order to conform to body and soldier-worn equipment location constraints. Please refer to the attachments for the complete requirement.
