The US Army is conducting market research for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) helmet-mounted Aviation Night Vision goggles (ANVIS) and seeks information plus production samples from industry to identify solutions that meet or exceed ANVIS requirements. Respondents must provide white papers of no more than 10 pages covering product specifications; compliance with MIL-PRF-A3279454B and MIL-PRF-A3314408 (MX-12607 I2 tube); environmental, vibration, immersion, humidity, veiling glare, and EMI performance; approximate unit costs with economies of scale up to 17,000 units; I2 tube and optical assembly manufacturers; interchangeability; field maintenance; test sets; and production capacity. At least one production sample is required for USG testing of resolution, signal-to-noise ratio, gain, collimation, and EMI per MIL-PRF-A3279454B. Samples are to be shipped to Ft Belvoir, VA.
