Request for Prototype Proposals (RPP) — Anesthesia Workstation System (AWS) Prototype
This amendment posts the official Q&A for the Anesthesia Workstation System (AWS) Request for Prototype Proposals (RPP). The U.S. Army Contracting Command, on behalf of PM M2S, is soliciting prototype proposals under a Direct Other Transaction Authority (OTA), and consortium membership is not required. The Army needs a COTS/NDI anesthesia workstation for life-saving operations in austere Role of Care 3 environments with minimal modification, addressing legacy gaps in oxygen-generation interoperability, weight/logistical footprint, and proprietary maintenance. Proposed solutions must be FDA-cleared for human use and TAA compliant, with strong preference for organic supportability by military BMETs at Field and Depot levels without proprietary vendor service contracts. The Government intends to award one OT Agreement for two prototypes for MTEAC operational testing and MIL-STD-810H environmental testing, with possible follow-on production for approximately 180 AWS units without further competition.
