Amendment 01: Documents ICD-SPL-200, NVESD-PFSP-301, A3381800B, and A3381799 are available by request via email to kristin.l.anderson24.civ@mail.mil The Product Manager, Soldier Precision Targeting Devices (PdM SPTD), located at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, is conducting market research seeking information from potential sources that are capable of providing a Laser Target Locator Module III (LTLM III) that meets updated performance requirements. The information received will support completion of the Government’s latest acquisition strategy for the LTLM III program. PdM SPTD is responsible for equipping the Army Warfighter with man-portable, ground-based targeting devices. This includes technology that provides Army Infantry, Cavalry Scout and Military Police personnel with the ability to provide rapid target acquisition and location. PdM SPTD currently supports these capabilities through the fielding and sustainment of three variants of the LTLM. The first two variants are the MARK VIIE and the TRIGR, they provide the Soldier the capability to locate a target up to 5 kilometers away in daylight and 900 meters away at night in a 5.5 pound package. The third, LTLM II, provides the Soldier with all the same capability, but in a 3.25 pound package. The following paragraphs provide additional background for the LTLM III. REQUESTED INFORMATION: All interested vendors are requested to submit a white paper that describes their approach to achieve the goals stated in Enclosure 1 of this notice. The white paper should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability and understanding to either (1) meet or exceed each goal as written, or (2) if one or more goals are assessed as unachievable, describe what level of capability could reasonably be achieved by an anticipated contract award date (1QFY23). Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is voluntary. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any Government assessments. The Government’s assessment of the white papers received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition
