This is a sources sought for market research purposes only. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is conducting market research to determine the availability of capable contractors. This is not an Invitation for Bid, a Request for Quotation or a Request for Proposal. There is no obligation on the part of the government to acquire any of the services described herein. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requested. The Government is seeking responses to this sources sought from all interested businesses capable of providing these services. Small businesses in all socioeconomic categories (including Small, 8(a) Business Development Program, Historically Under Utilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB), Woman Owned (WOSB)) are highly encouraged to identify capabilities to meet the requirement for the ERDC. The ERDC intends to issue a solicitation that will result in one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract in accordance with FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The type of set-aside will depend upon the capability of responses received from this source sought notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236210 (Industrial Building Construction) with a Small Business Size Standard of $39.5 million. The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources capable of performing renovations to the following areas: main entrance area; corridor area; men’s and women’s restroom facilities (including shower area and locker room); and the main control room. These areas total approximately 1,563 SF. The contractor will be required to furnish all supplies, supervision, labor, materials, material disposal, tools and equipment, safety, and quality control for construction and renovations. Interested companies responding to this sources sought should include the following information: • Company name, address, DUNS number, CAGE code, point of contact, telephone number and email address. • Provide the company's business size (small or other than small) and all applicable socio-economic category information (Large Business, Small Business, 8(a), Woman-Owned/Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Veteran-Owned, Service -Disabled Veteran-Owned) • Information describing the company's capability to perform and past performance. Provide specific information on relevant work the same or similar in complexity. Include contract number, contract description, dollar value and a customer point of contact, telephone number and email address. Identify whether your firm was a prime vendor or subcontractor. • Bonding /Capability and Capacity (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate construction bonding level, both expressed in dollars) via letter from bonding company can also be included as an attachment.
