The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Contracting Office intends to issue a solicitation for the furnishing of all supplies, supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment, to perform a repair by replacement of specified refrigeration equipment at the Frost Effects Research Facility (FERF) at the US Army Corps of Engineers Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), 72 Lyme Rd, Hanover, New Hampshire. The refrigeration equipment to be replaced currently is the medium temperature compressors, the low temperature compressors and their respective pumps. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. This procurement will be solicited as Full and Open. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 333415 (Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing) with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees. Solicitation will be issued on or about 22 October 2018. Estimated receipt of proposals will be 30 days after the issuance of the solicitation. Actual dates will be reflected in the solicitation. Prospective offerors will have access to the solicitation at Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) by searching for the solicitation number, W913E519R0001. Offerors are encouraged to check the websites frequently in order to be notified of any changes to the solicitation. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov to be considered for award of any United States of America, Department of Defense contract. Any entity wishing to do business with the federal government must have an active SAM registration in order to be eligible to receive contract awards or payments, submit assistance award applications via Grants.gov, or receive certain payments from some federal government agencies. SITE VISIT: An organized site visit was held on 16 Oct 2018 at 9:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). NO OTHER SITE VISIT WILL BE ALLOWED.
