THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential HUBZone, Small Businesses and Service-Disabled Veteran Sources, Small Disadvantaged Businesses 8(a), Women Owned Businesses or large business interest in the Greater Columbia, SC region. Contractor's status will be verified through SAM and SBA. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. The MICC-Fort Jackson may issue a solicitation and award of a contract for “Fort Jackson 3D Printer Maintenance Services,” subject to availability of funds. The MICC-Fort Jackson is seeking qualified, experienced and capable sources with certified technicians who possess the skills, training, and technical know-how of performing Fort Jackson 3D Printer Maintenance Services. It appears the 3D printer is proprietary and written in a proprietary programming language, which leads to only one contractor, 3D Systems, Inc., who is considered the only source who can meet the needs of repairing and maintaining the printer. Although it seems there are alternative companies that can provide the actual physical 3D printer, none can repair or maintain the printer. It appears 3D Systems, Inc. is the single source for sales, service, software and material support. Full details are provided in the attached performance work statement. The place of performance is the Fort Jackson South Carolina 29207. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal no later than 23 June 2025 by completing and signing the Source Sought Information Request Form (link to form below).
