CJAG Fence Install
The project is construction of approximately 3,850 linear feet of FE-6 security fencing, including two separate 20-foot manual sliding security gates, at Load Line 6, Camp James A. Garfield, Ravenna, Ohio; the fence is 8 feet high with at least 7 feet of fabric plus top guard and barbed wire, and no intrusion detection, grounding, or high-security hardware is required. The contractor will receive a six-month period of performance from award, with completion preferred before December 1, 2026, but work cannot begin until clearing is complete in late September/October. Site visits are encouraged and can be scheduled by appointment; drawings are provided, and the government will perform fence layout after vegetation clearing. No live/active underground utilities are in the area, and although no additional permits are required, the contractor must comply with Ohio National Guard environmental/stormwater requirements, including SWP3 training, NOI/co-permittee and certification, erosion/sediment controls, fueling/spill and concrete outwash requirements, and seeding/straw for bare areas. Davis-Bacon Act wages apply under the Ohio Heavy and Highway determination, and old fence/footers will be removed prior to the new work.
