THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Purpose: The National Guard Bureau (NGB), Marketing Branch is conducting Market Research in preparation for an Esports Summit on November 19-20, 2019 in Arlington, VA. This Summit will provide State Recruiting and Retention Battalions insights into opportunities to get involved with Esports at the local level. Background: The Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalions are interested in getting involved in Esports programs across the 54 States and Territories. Approximately 52% of generation Z plays video games; and in 2018 Esports viewership and investment surpassed ESPN. Over 75% of that generation watch streaming services such as YouTube and Twitch. The intent of this RFI is to gain insight on the video game industry to educate the Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalions and Marketing personnel on Esports in order to develop Esports programs locally. This notice is not a solicitation as defined by FAR 2.101, and the Government is not requesting offers or proposals at this time. Any responses to this RFI received by the Government will not be accepted to form a binding contract. This is a Request for Information and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposal and no award will be made as a result of this sources sought notice. If a solicitation is issued, the Government does not guarantee that it will be issued to RFI respondents. The Government is also requesting that restrictive or proprietary markings not be used in response to the RFI. If you are interested into providing the Government insight on the development of Marketing through Esports, please provide an information paper or a capability statement that does not exceed five (5) pages. The Government may invite a number of vendors to explain their Esports Marketing approach/capabilities in person at our Esports Summit. If a vendor is selected, any costs incurred will be at the vendors own expense and at no cost to the Government. Information papers/capability statement are due by 5:00 PM Eastern Time, 30 September 2019.
