The U.S. Army requires tooling, parts, and services to support a Tribometer at ERDC laboratories for testing environmentally acceptable lubricants in hydropower turbine generators. The requirement includes a Stribeck tooling set, runner, thrust washers, steel pads, plus installation and calibration of the instrument. The original equipment manufacturer, Phoenix Tribology Limited, is the sole source due to the unique nature of the existing Government-owned tribometer; no equivalent products exist. The anticipated award date is 30 September 2026, and the effort is not set aside for small businesses. Interested parties may submit a capability statement, though the Government is not obligated to award a contract.
