HEAVY MARINE EQUIPMENT LEASING AND SITE ACTIVITY SUPPORT SERVICES – STAMFORD HURRICANE BARRIER, STAMFORD, CT AND HOP BROOKE DAM, MIDDLEBURY, CT
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interest from qualified contractors to provide heavy marine equipment leasing and site activity support at the Stamford Hurricane Barrier in Stamford, CT, and Hop Brook Dam in Middlebury, CT. The project is planned for issuance in fall 2026, with work occurring in winter/spring 2027, and has an estimated cost between $1 million and $5 million. Scope includes operating floating and all-terrain cranes, work barges, debris cleanout of contaminated sediment, anode replacement, installation of turbidity curtain anchor points, and site preparation with restoration. Interested firms must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, past performance with floating cranes and restricted-channel barge operations, OSHA-compliant confined-space safety protocols, and provide two qualifying project examples from the last seven years. Contractors must also submit proof of bonding capability and business classification in their capabilities package.
