Maintenance Dredging of Isle Au Haut Thoroughfare, Isle Au Haut, Maine
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will issue a small business set-aside Invitation for Bids for maintenance dredging of the Isle au Haut Thoroughfare Federal Navigation Project in Maine. The work involves mechanically dredging approximately 3,355 cubic yards of compacted sand, gravel, and cobbles from a channel, with an estimated construction cost of $1,000,000 to $3,000,000. Performance will occur between Isle au Haut and Kimball Island, Maine, with dredged material placed at the Flake Island Disposal Site. The dredging window is between 15 September 2026 and 1 March 2027, and the solicitation is expected to be available on or about 10 September 2026. Clamshell buckets are prohibited; mechanical excavator-type dredging equipment and scows are required, along with Dredge Quality Management specifications.
