This project involves maintenance dredging of three sections of the Kennebec River in Maine to support new naval vessel construction at Bath Iron Works. Approximately 80,000 cubic yards of clean sand will be removed from the Doubling Point, Popham Beach, and Bath Reach areas. Dredged material will be placed at two in-river and nearshore disposal sites. The work is expected to take 3-4 weeks to complete. The available work window for dredging and material placement is from 1 December 2026 to 15 February 2027.
