Maintenance Dredging, Kennebec River, Kennebec Maine
This project involves maintenance dredging of three sections of the 27-foot deep, 500-foot wide federal navigation channel in the Lower Kennebec River, Maine, to support new surface combatants built at Bath Iron Works. Approximately 80,000 cubic yards of clean sand will be dredged from the Doubling Point, Popham Beach, and Bath Reach areas. Dredged material from Bath Reach and Doubling Point will be placed in an in-river disposal area north of Bluff Head, while material from Popham Beach will go to the new Jackknife Ledge West Disposal Site. The work is expected to take 3–4 weeks to complete, with the available performance window from 1 December 2026 to 15 February 2027. No budget amount is specified in the description.
