Construction Services for New Haven Harbor Improvement Dredging in New Haven, CT
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bids for improvement dredging of the New Haven Harbor Federal Navigation Project in New Haven, CT. The estimated construction cost is between $50 million and $100 million, with construction expected to take about 19 months. The project involves mechanically dredging the navigation channel and turning basin to a 40-foot depth, removing up to 3,500,000 cubic yards of silt, 850,000 cubic yards of sand, and 60,000 cubic yards of rock. Dredging and disposal operations will occur over two seasons: from 1 October 2026 to 1 March 2027 and from 1 October 2027 to 1 March 2028. Material will be placed at the Central Long Island Sound Disposal Site and four local beneficial use sites within the harbor.
