The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Procurement and Replacement of a Log Boom at North Hartland Lake, North Hartland, VT. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the following work at North Hartland Lake. Procure and Replace the Following: Log boom wire rope with one inch (1”) diameter continuous length, six by nineteen (6 X 19) galvanized, Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), approximately twenty- three hundred feet (2300’) in length. Twenty (20), twenty foot (20’) long boom logs Forty (40) log boom chains Twelve (12) one inch (1”) rope clamps Two (2) one-inch (1”) thimbles The Contractor shall remove existing wire rope, deteriorated logs marked for removal, and used hardware (chains, clamps, and thimbles) to dispose of properly off site. The Government may exercise an option for the supply and delivery of five (5) additional twenty foot (20’) long booms to designated on site storage area. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000.
