THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to dismantle, remove, and dispose of radome antennas at four telecommunication tower sites. Radomes are microwave radio antennas constructed of aluminum that have a hollow fiberglass cover for protection from the weather. These radomes are decommissioned and no longer required. Work includes removal of all associated support members for randoms, U-Bolts, pipe straps, waveguide transmission lines, conductors, grounding wires, and conduits. Summary of work and quantity of radomes to be removed: Tower Site 160 (Height: 60’): Remove one 10’ diameter radome antenna Tower Site 260 (Height: 60’): Remove one 10’ diameter radome antenna Tower Site Sandwich (Height: 70’): Remove one 6’ diameter radome antenna and replace 12 metal strap cross braces on the underside of the metal staircase. Replace in kind the existing wood staircase located at ground level. Tower Site Marine Traffic Control Center (MTCC) (Height: 70’): Remove one 12’ diameter radome antenna, one 10’ diameter radome antenna, one 6’ diameter radome antenna, and one 2’ diameter dish. Work includes modification of the MTCC tower, by removing the top 12’ section of the tower, which is structurally compromised, and reinstalling the top triangular “tripod” section onto the remaining tower section. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238190 with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million. ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY OFFEROR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
