THE WORK CONSISTS OF: The existing roof membrane will be replaced with a new EPDM roofing system, and the existing concrete below the membrane shall require non-shrink grout to be applied in areas experiencing significant cracking. As a result of the membrane replacement efforts, the insulation will also need to be replaced to provide a minimum R-30 roof insulation, which also requires the existing roof drain to be relocated and the install of a new emergency secondary drain as the existing scupper will no longer function as intended. Fall protection will also be part of this project. A modular, weighted base system with both hot dip zinc galvanized, and fiberglass railings will be installed, along with a new automated electric roof hatch and 3-inch conduit to provide power to existing roof equipment. This roof hatch work will include tying into the existing electrical panel below & new electrical connections between the proposed guardrail system and the existing lightning protection system. In addition to the new work, two existing flood lights will be removed along with their associated receptacles. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238190 with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million. ALL OFFERORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY OFFEROR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
