The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the Naugatuck River Basin Fence Replacement project for at Thomaston Dam and Northfield Brook Lake Dam, located in Thomaston, CT. The NAICS code for the work described below is 238990. The project is planned to be issued in April 2020, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The period of performance will be approximately 6 months long occurring in the summer or fall of 2020. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project has the following major components. Replace existing 4-foot chain link fence with new 6-foot chain link fence at both Thomaston and Northfield Brook Lake Dam Realign sections of 4-foot chain link fence that were undermined during the FY19 spillway rock removal contract at Northfield Brook Lake Dam Replace existing vehicle access gates at Northfield Brook Lake Dam Install a new personnel gate at the Thomaston Dam outlet structure Please note that this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents which will include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about April 2020. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access SAM.Beta.Gov website (https://beta.sam.gov/ ).
