The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the Electrical Modifications project at the Black Rock Lake, located in Thomaston, Connecticut. The NAICS code for the work described below is 238210 (Size Standard $15.0 Million). The project is planned to be issued in April 2019, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The construction will extend over a one-month period occurring in the summer or fall of 2019. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. This project has the following major components. •Demolish three existing pole mounted transformers. Transformers do not contain PCBs. •Contract with the utility to provide pole mounted transformers on the utility pole. •Provide meter socket. •Provide overhead conductors from the utility transformer to the meter socket and from the meter socket to the project office. •Replace the single phase generator enclosed circuit breaker with a non-fused disconnect. •Replace the transfer switch and panelboard located in the project office. •Provide circuit breaker in panel MDP-1. •Provide feeder splice in a new pole mounted junction box. •Replace the service entrance enclosed circuit breaker located in the gate tower. •Provide a main circuit breaker in Panel-B. •Install a new grounding system to provide for lightning protection.
