FY27 Joint Base Lewis-McChord Yakima Training Center Microgrid
The Government is seeking capability and interest from eligible ERCIP small-business holders under nationwide Design-Build/Design-Bid-Build IDIQ MATOC contracts for a construction project at Yakima Training Center, WA. The effort would construct an islandable microgrid as a resilient power source for the Digital Multipurpose Range Complex. The scope includes a ground-mounted 1,300 KWdc photovoltaic array, a 1,000 KW/8,000 KWh battery energy storage system, and 775 KW of propane-fueled generation with a 12,500-gallon propane storage tank. It also includes approximately 11 miles of high-voltage underground electrical and telecommunication ductbank to power DMPRC facilities. The RFI is intended to help determine potential set-aside interest and contractor capability.
