Response Date: 03 April 2024 5. Short Project Description: The contractor will dewater Markland Auxiliary Lock. Contractor to transport maintenance bulkheads to site, make necessary repairs to bulkheads, install bulkheads, pump out lock chamber to dewatered condition, monitor lock and river conditions for duration of dewatering, install jacking guides to miter gates, raise miter gates, repair cracks in gates, replace miter gates contact blocks, rehabilitate miter gate anchor arms, rehabilitate miter gate pintle balls, replace miter gate fenders, rehabilitate miter gate operating machinery, rewater the lock chamber, transport maintenance bulkheads to original location. 6. Projects similar in size to this project include: Lock is 600’ x 110’. Project includes repair of four miter gate leafs, contractor must be able to perform work on multiple gate leafs at the same time to meet schedule restrictions. 12.
