DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue a Invitation for Bid (IFB) W912QR23B0002 for Competition Baseball and Softball Fields located at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. This project is to replace the high school’s competition baseball field and competition softball field. This includes demolishing the two fields and associated amenities (fencing, dugouts, bullpens, batting cages, bases/plates, mounds, irrigation, grass/weeds and infields), except existing light poles, and replacing the fields and associated amenities. Demolish and replace the stairs to the existing press box. Electrical utilities include new electronic scoreboards and site lightbulbs. Stormwater utilities includes sub-surface drainage improvements. Site preparation includes work such as removing grass/weeds and poorly draining infield dirt/sand and shaping/crowning the fields to drain. Site improvements includes new fencing, dugouts, bullpens, batting cages, bases/plates, irrigation, sod, and infield dirt/sand. Gravel parking will be replaced, protected from foul balls, and sidewalks added to north parking. A pre-bid site visit may be held. Meeting and site visit details will be provided in the solicitation. TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This IFB will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) for this effort is 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be advertised as 100% Small Business. SELECTION PROCESS: This is a sealed bid procurement operating under FAR Part 14. The bids will be evaluated based on the lowest price submitted. CONSTRUCTION MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this construction project is anticipated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204.
